UNFCU recently opened a relief account to support the United Nations’ efforts to help victims in the aftermath of hurricanes and tropical stroms which impacted Haiti in August and September 2008.
- The UN Staff Committee with the approval of the UN Secretary-General established the United Nations Staff Relief Committee for Hurrucane victims in Haiti
and opened a special account called the UNSRC for Haiti. All proceeds from the UNSRC for Haiti will be donated through an appropriate relief agency to assist the victims directly.
