Cyclone Relief Fund

UNFCU recently opened two relief accounts to support the United Nations’ efforts to help victims in the aftermath of Cyclone Nargis which impacted Myanmar on 2 May 2008.
  • The UN Staff Committee with the approval of the UN Secretary-General established the United Nations Staff Relief Committee for Myanmar’s victims of the Cyclone and opened a special account called the UNSRC for Myanmar. All proceeds from the UNSRC for Myanmar will be donated through an appropriate relief agency to assist the victims directly.
  • A Joint Appeal Fund has been set up by FICSA-CCISUA to assist the many UN local staff members in Myanmar who have lost their homes in the wake of Cyclone Nargis. Channeled through the UN Resident Coordinator in Myanmar, contributions will assist with the reconstruction of their livelihoods.

Make your charitable contributions via the following methods:

  • Visit either of our New York branches:
  1. Click on "Online Forms" in the top navigation bar
  2. Fill out the "Myanmar Contribution Form"
  3. Indicate which account you would like to transfer the funds;
    4. "UNSRC for Myanmar" or "FICSA-CCISUA Joint Appeal Fund (Myanmar)" (You may support each organization by completing a separate request.)
  4. Select the account to be debited
  5. Read and accept the agreement
  6. Click on "Submit"
