INFORMATION ABOUT NON-U.S. BASED COVERAGE. Policies written or risks located outside the U.S. will be insured with companies licensed to do business in the United States. In some instances where local laws require a local policy be issued to cover the exposure, the proper local coverage will be obtained by the UNFCU or its affiliates. In other cases it is the insured’s responsibility to secure the local coverage. Check with your UNFCU Insurance Advisor for which option is required in your country of residence. The local coverage will be supplemented by coverage from the U.S. to the extent allowed by law.
