The special APR only applies to those individuals whom apply and are approved for a new UNFCU VISA Classic and Gold credit card during promotional period 18 January 2010 to 14 March 2010. Once you have applied and been approved for the UNFCU Visa Classic or Gold credit card, convenience checks will be mailed to you for your balance transfers from your external credit cards. Or you may simply, visit www.unfcu.org, logon to Internet Banking, click on online forms, and complete the “Balance Transfer form”. You can also call to speak with a member service representative at +1 347-686-6000 or +1 800-891-2471 to facilitate the balance transfer. The credit limit for your new card may vary according to your creditworthiness.
Members upgrading from a UNFCU VISA Classic Credit Card to a UNFCU VISA Gold Credit Card will not receive the 5.90% APR. They will instead receive the default rate of 10.90% APR which is the standard APR for the UNFCU Gold credit card.
UNFCU does not pay reward points on balance transfers, convenience checks or cash advances. All applications must be completed and approved by 14 March 2010 to be eligible to win.

The winner(s) will be contacted within one month of the promotion deadline of 14 March 2010. If a selected winner is unable to be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim a prize, or fails to return the completed and executed affidavits and releases, as required, or if the winning notification is returned as undeliverable, an alternate winner will be selected. Drawing decisions will be final and binding in all matters relating to the Promotion. Winner(s) will be notified by mail or telephone upon completion of the drawing. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to the sponsor and its agencies to use winner(s)’ name and/or likeness for purposes of disclosure, advertising and trade without further compensation. Employees of UNFCU, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, third party vendors, volunteers and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible.
