UNFCU is sending out a call to action to help the victims of violence in Kenya in the aftermath of the 27 December 2007 elections, which sparked tremendous unrest throughout the region, threatening the country’s social and economic stability. Foremost in our minds and in the thoughts of many concerned individuals are the immediate needs of those directly affected by the crisis, including the provision of food, clothing and other basic necessities. The next step is to help rebuild those lives through grassroots programs and create safer cities.
The United Nations Environment Programme, UNEP, has opened a special account with UNFCU called the Kenya Relief Fund. All proceeds from the Kenya Relief Fund will be donated through an appropriate relief agency and partner, to assist the victims directly and help heal the country.
To make a donation, you can do so via the following methods:
- Log into Internet Banking. Click on “Online Forms” and complete the Kenyan Relief Fund Request
- Call us at +1 347-686-6000 or via our toll free international telephone numbers (should be a link to numbers)
- Visit one of our branches or Representative Offices to make the request in person.
We appreciate your help in this time of need. Should you have questions, please contact UNFCU at 347-686-6000 and we will provide you with assistance.
Once again, thank you for your support.
