Shop online with added security against fraudulent card usage.
MasterCard SecureCode is a free Internet transaction authentication
service. When you enroll, you provide a password that will
subsequently be requested of you when shopping online with
merchants who participate in the programme. The password
you select will only be known by you, never shared with the
merchant, and is intended to protect you against fraudulent
use of your UNFCU ChequeMate Debit Card.
IMPORTANT!
As of 2 November 2004, merchants participating in MasterCard SecureCode
will require cardholders who shop via the Internet to be registered with this
programme to process their online transactions. If you are already registered,
simply continue to shop online and enter your password when prompted.
- If you are not yet registered, UNFCU recommends that you visit our enrollment
site and enroll today for MasterCard SecureCode merchant coverage
- If you do not choose to register and are shopping online with participating
merchants, you will be required to register with MasterCard SecureCode in order
to process your transaction. When registering, you will be prompted by a series
of screens that will instruct you to identify yourself to UNFCU and MasterCard.
Specifically, you will be asked to enter the following information:
- Your name
- Your UNFCU member number
- Your zip (postal) code —Please note: If
you reside outside of the U.S., enter 11101 as your
zip code.
- A password
And that’s it! You are registered with MasterCard SecureCode
for that particular merchant. You will also be given an
opportunity to register in full so that you may bypass MasterCard
SecureCode enrollment at individual merchant sites.
