MasterCard SecureCode is a simple and secure way to make purchases via the Internet. Your SecureCode, a private code known only to you, enhances your existing
MasterCard debit card by protecting you against unauthorized use when shopping at participating online retailers.
Once you have registered and created your SecureCode, you will automatically be prompted to enter it each time you make a purchase with a participating online merchant. After your SecureCode is confirmed, your purchase will be completed. Your SecureCode will never be shared with the merchant. It is just like entering your PIN at an ATM.
Merchants participating in MasterCard SecureCode require cardholders who shop via the Internet to be registered with this program to process online transactions. If you are already registered, simply continue to shop online and enter your password when prompted.
If you are not yet registered, we recommend that you visit the enrollment site and enroll today.
When registering, you will be prompted by a series of screens that will instruct you to identify yourself. Specifically, you will be asked to enter the following information:
- Your name
- Your UNFCU member number
- Your zip (postal) code (If you reside outside of the US, enter 11101 as your zip code.)
- A password
Once you are registered with MasterCard SecureCode for a particular merchant, you will also be given an opportunity to register fully so that you may bypass MasterCard SecureCode enrollment at individual merchant sites.
