Relevant experience and qualifications

Currently Deputy Director-General and Director for Management of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), I am in charge of, among others, financial resources management, human resources management, and information and communication technology for UNOV and its client offices. In addition, I have also gained experience in leadership and oversight bodies as a member of the Board of Trustees of the United Nations International School (UNIS), New York, from 2004 to 2008, during which I also served on its Contract Committee, and a member of the UN Joint Staff Pension Board from 2011 to 2018, during which I also served and chaired its Audit Committee and Budget Committee.

Candidate statement

UNFCU is “the” financial institute for UN personnel, providing most, if not all, of the financial services required by us with stability and consistency, as we move around globally “serving the world”. I am motivated to leverage my background and extensive experience in substantively contributing to the governance of the UNFCU. I am committed to ensure a continued safe and secure financial environment provided by UNFCU for its members, and to continue to improve their client experience, giving members satisfaction and peace of mind as far as their financial needs are concerned. UNFCU should continue to grow and strengthen its status as the financial institute of choice of UN personnel.
