Kyle Ward

Board candidate
Prangins, Switzerland

Relevant experience and qualifications

I have held roles with high levels of financial management responsibility both inside the United Nations and outside for 40 years. My experience with budgeting and ensuring accountability is particularly relevant, as well as in setting and implementing organisational strategies. I am also experienced in transformational change management, building strong teams and driving improvements in processes focused on maintaining high standards of service. Since retiring from the UN, I have worked closely with Amnesty International’s board and understand its vital leadership role for the ongoing growth and viability of the organisation. I am confident that my skills and experience will be useful here.

Candidate statement

A member of UNFCU for 30 years, I have watched as it has grown and developed its services designed with the needs of UN staff, including myself, in mind. I have always felt fortunate to have access to such a friendly and member-focused financial institution, which stands in sharp contrast to the service I have encountered with large banks. I would be thrilled to have the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth and development of UNFCU. Working closely with the Board of Amnesty International, I have seen first-hand the important role the board plays in guiding the organisation and oversight of its strategic direction, and I believe I can assist UNFCU in this essential endeavour.
