Transfer a balance to your credit card

You can transfer a balance for a loan or credit card issued by another financial institution in the US. With a new UNFCU credit card, you can transfer a balance at 0.00% APR¹ during your introductory period.

Sign in to Digital Banking.
On the My Accounts page, select Loans & Credit Cards.
Select Card Access.
Select Request Balance Transfers.

Is there a fee for balance transfers?

Yes. When you transfer a balance to your UNFCU Elite or Azure card, there is a fee of $5.00 or 2.00% of the balance transfer amount, whichever is higher. When you transfer a balance to your credit card account, it is posted as a cash advance. This means that you will start to accrue daily interest at the applicable rate on the amount immediately. Disclosures

APR = Annual Percentage Rate. Creditworthiness and loan amount will determine actual APR. Introductory rate quoted for credit cards is for the first six months for Elite and the first 12 months for Azure. It is only applicable to new accounts. Thereafter, the rate (15.49% APR for Elite, 16.49% APR for Azure) will vary with the market based on the Prime Rate.
