Felicia Gordon
Relevant experience and qualifications
I have 30 years of global professional experience, including substantial management and leadership experience. I am currently the Chief of Staff (D-1) and member of a UN leadership team. I have experience as a New York attorney in government and non-profit contexts, and was a Senior Legal Officer in the UNFCCC; an adviser to the Timor-Leste Ministry of Finance, supporting the Commissioner of Taxation and legal officers; and in the OSCE Office of Legal Affairs in Vienna. I have prior experience on decision and policymaking bodies, including on the Board of Directors, Executive and Audit Committees of the NY County Lawyers Association; and in the House of Delegates, NY State Bar Association.
Candidate statement
I am motivated as a longtime member of UNFCU as well as a UN staff member serving around the globe for the past two decades, and as someone who fits the desirable skill set that the Board is seeking. My experience is diverse, and I served in both field and headquarters environments, on multiple continents. I have utilized UNFCU services for over two decades and have already a good understanding of its products and its governance. I believe that my prior Board of Directors volunteer experience and a legal background is directly relevant, and that I will be able to understand the needs of the membership and to serve UNFCU well as a member of the Board.
